Throwback to Planes of Fame Air Museum Arizona October 22, 2020 Michael Gutta For a little Throwback Thursday I decided to revisit a few photos I took while visiting the Planes of Fame Air Museum in Valle, Arizona back on November 5, 2013. This aircraft museum is located at the Valle Airport 30 miles south of Grand Canyon Village. During a family vacation touring several spots in Arizona we made a quick stop on the drive to Grand Canyon. There were and still are many aircraft in various states from flyable and restored to those that are neglected under the Arizona sun. Overall, it was a great way to spend an hour of time and $10 to see a variety of aircraft from the past. Below, I’ve highlighted four photos from this experience with a few details on each aircraft type. North American T-28B "Trojan" trainer aircraft built in 1954 at the Planes of Fame Air Museum (Michael Gutta). With a first flight in 1949, a total of 1,948 aircraft were built between 1950 and 1957 by N
